She was there as a paid representative of a Red Bull sponsor. If she were just there because she is an F1 fan who got VIP access it would be one thing, but she was there for cross-promotion. When asked who she was routing for the answer isn’t <bodyguard blocks>. It’s, “I’m routing for Red Bull!!"

It is impressive how consistently wrong these writers’ takes are on all things F1.

If he did this with a private seller or about 95% of used car dealers wouldn’t he have been SOL?

F1 has plenty of Venture Capitalist money, and even those people expect to call the shots. Why would Sauber expect a racing outfit to bring a check book but not run the team. Seems very disingenuous of them. Probably not getting the full story. Perhaps they wanted it 50/50, and Andretti understandably would have no

Yes, that Neptune Blue is nice. Sort of a mix of Miami and Mexico

The only cars I can see are the ads here on Jaloonik for a Kia, a Polestsr 2, and some type of teeth whitener. They take up anywhere from 50% to 95% of the screen. I can't even see what I am typing.

In this case, vinyl wraps are your friend. They can take a regular car and give it a "toy car" vibe. With his talent and access to CAD software he should be able to come up with a fun design.

Stephen Ross owns the Dolphins, the stadium, the parking lot, and I think he owns a chunk of this F1 race. I don’t think the stadium has a workable entrance and exit for this.

If they could have figured out a way to run the course through the stadium they could have added another 50K plus in seating and concession options.

Agreed. Of course, Mazespin grew up knowing he could literally kill someone without repercussions so I would say he had a different upbringing than your typical scion.

Haas using same car as last year, but the other teams have improved their cars from last year. Comparatively speaking, the Haas car is less competitive this years versus last year.

She is a famous person who added to the spectacle. COTA and F1 and Red Bull were all happy to have her as a guest. The race didn’t need Cowboy Cheerleaders either, but I’m not complaining. It’s not like she was trying to change tires during a pit stop or act as a Marshall.

There was nothing wrong with his questions or her responses. It was a silly question, but this all spectacle. Her security and/or PR person is in the wrong for not knowing any of the customs or protocols. I have no problem with her being there just to market some cash app, but she wasn’t there simply as a guest. She

He finished 3rd this race and 3rd in Turkey. So I stand by my original point that he seems to be on the upswing now.

Bottas has been in that car for years.  Perez just getting up to speed. This particular thread is about the improvement Perez is showing compared to earlier in season. Your comment does not refute that opinion.

He gave his position early to Verstappen,  had to defer to Verstappen on pit strategy, was sick this weekend, and his hydration system was busted on a hot day.

Perez peaking at the right time. Fans in Mexico will give him huge boost. Mercedes on the defensive.

They should make the third a rotating Grand Prix: New York, Vegas, San Diego, Chicago, Boston, Salt Lake

I suspect the problem will be more pronounced with next year’s cars where the aero comes more from the undercarriage and the wing will be muted a bit.

Given that a pit stop costs 2.5 seconds for most teams, it makes the gamble to stay out look more like a mistake.”
