If it’s a teaser for an established series I’m all for it.

Maybe I’m blind but how do you write an entire article based on a single tweet and not include the date of the presentation referenced?
As someone who has worked for Aspyr this doesn’t surprise me one bit.
Id rather they guarantee a refund.
I get the inclination to be excited about cut content DLC. It makes a lot of sense and is an exciting idea, seeing as mods already exist to restore the cut content. That said... maybe don’t promise it from the get-go. They could have just released the game on switch and people would have been happy (or... well,…
I feel like the right thing to do would be to offer refunds. It's a real shame they couldn't get the DLC added
It would have coated them 0 dollars to not make this promise
What is likely the culprit is that sales were not good enough and embracer group pilled the plug rather than pay for continued development.
And this developer is working on the KOTOR remake, going to be a bomb! Not the bomb mind you
There is definitely going to be a lawsuit. False advertising is easy to prove, it was in the trailer.
Great. I already own all of these games - and I bought KotOR2 on Switch specifically because of this promised DLC. I really need to stop supporting developers before they’ve delivered on promises...
That's a shitty situation for switch owners. Especially after the major launch problems the game had on Switch.
I mean look. Your article is by itself very good.
Pretty much my thought on it as well. Yes Link is androgynous, but there’s nothing about him or the game(s) that makes me think LGBTQ+. It’s something of a non-troversy. Of course, people are free to see things as they want, but this feels rather forced on both sides imo.
I fully support LGBTQ+ people. I believe all people have the right to be themselves, but I don’t understand how Link is a trans icon. There’s nothing in the lore to suggest as much. Rather, male characters dressing like female characters have a long standing comedic tradition in Japanese games, including the Legend of …
“somebody somewhere there looked at this image for more than three seconds, because even glancing at it you can see at least half a dozen red flags.”
F Oculus and Zuck.
This is true. The downside is a little bit of homogenisation. Everything is a narrative heavy 3rd person action adventure, or as is looming everything is a GaaS Live Service game. Whereas MS has a much wider variety of games on offer. I think both scenarios could do with some tweaking and lifting from each other.…
Yeah the problem with these “prank” channels is they go around filming themselves being assholes, but since they’re the ones with the camera they’re in control of the narrative.
This is one of many times where “it’s just a prank bro” doesn’t cut it as a mea culpa. If it’s the innocuous stuff à la Just For Laughs: Gags, then I’ll cut these chaps some slack. @ZakMckracken listed out some of their other pranks elsewhere in the comments (https://kotaku.com/1850300723) and I’m sorry Levi, my dude…
