I’m alone here, but I actually enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever. I thought it played decently and was pretty funny lol.
I enjoyed Duke Nukem: Forever.
Is he about to sneeze?
The Alt-Right is more likely to read Kotaku if its writers keep giving them attention. That’s what trolls live for.
Exactly. That’s the sign of a good boss. When he thinks it’s not going against the grain ENOUGH.
it’s also a perfect example of someone that many commenters would call out for making financial decisions that curtail artistic efforts, when in reality you can see the man cares about the content of the games. he doesn’t say, “zombies won’t make me money,” he says, “zombies are cheesy.”
I’d argue the swarming behavior of World War Z was substantially different than most anything before it.
I say this a lot, but I always maintain that the problem with zombies is that creators treat them as a genre, rather than just a monster; so they keep setting out to make “a zombie movie” and rehashing the same tropes.
By all accounts this isn’t correct.
“Once I went to dinner with Gabe,” explained Faliszek. “And he was beating me up, that um…’if you look at zombie movies’ [Newell said] ‘Night of the Living Dead is about racism…Dawn of the Dead is about consumerism.’”
that’s what I got out of it, He didn’t want it to be zombies just because they need an enemy but that there was an allegory to be made like the famous zombie movies did. that’s a smart decision.
The genre wasn’t as tired and its cliches weren’t as overused, yet.
Chet appears to believe Gabe’s feedback was quite valuable, but go off I guess
It seems like Gabe’s objection was more philosophical/conceptual, but from a saturation point he’s also not wrong. That era was rotten with zombies in movies and games. It was a really tiring fad. In my mind, the only reason l4d really shined was because of just how ridiculously well executed it was as a co-op horde…
I’d hope a person’s central thought would be: innocent people died.
We need to talk about his case honestly. Not just curl up into our ideological bubbles.
Sony fanboy here, so there’s that disclaimer, but this point is platform-agnostic:
“Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with the fatal shooting of two men in August 2020, when he fired at unarmed protestors during civil unrest in Kenosha, Wisconsin” That’s not really what actually happened, though. He got chased by Joseph Rosenbaum who tried to take his gun, and he fired on him in a panic to try and stop…
What the hell does any of this have to do with bloodborne.
