I wish there was a “time from article publishing to someone saying oh well just do a raspberry pi like me” post.

I think it’s been well established that these classic consoles are for people who:
What really irks me is that no one ever actually does the math of the actual cost of a RBpi + 2 Controllers + 3DprintedCase + USBStorage TimeSpentDownloadingTheIsos.
I usually despise the Retro Pi crowd, because they ultimately miss all the reasons anyone might want something like this.
But on this occasion, you do you.
I’ll watch the video when I get home, but I feel like this is a lie. I read every manual back in the day, and E.T. was just as bad as Raiders of the Lost Ark, even after reading the manual.
Yeah, but then you would be one of those weirdo’s that talks to all their friends about emulators.
I ‘beat’ the game back in the day with no book by pretty much trial and error and the determination that most kids had who only had a few games and would only have a chance at more on birthdays or Christmas.
I liked the fact that this game was one of the first I can remember that had a real title screen with music on the 2600. Most were just a still palette-shifted version of the game. Raiders of the Lost Ark was far more confusing and not fun to me as a kid. I was at least able to understand what I had to do in E.T. in…
How much spacebucks does kotaku get from epic of all this advertisment and topics?
Meh. I’ll just grab any of these that come to Switch on there and then wait for their Steam releases if they don’t come to Switch.
Good for them. As long as they are in bed with Tencent, though, they and anybody locking themselves to their platform can pound sand.
How about an article about Epic’s horrible, anti-consumer policies like having no forums and no user reviews, auto opt-in to spam, no policing of bullshots, etc.?
“It may [mean] more launchers, sure, but a small price to pay for a developer community that doesn’t feel like they have one choice on PC.”
The first year will be telling if Epic has a hit or if will be niche like the Ubisfoft’s store or EA’s Origin. And let’s not forget there is still GOG out there, which sells games DRM free.
To bad epic is anti consumer. No forums no reviews only allowed 2 refunds. All devs have done by making their games exclusive to epic is making sure they are getting 80% of 0 from me.
Epic killed the Unreal Tournament reboot to put all it’s resources into Fortnight.

The number of people champing at the bit to beta test another storefront that is missing basic features and seems to intentionally shit on consumers because…
Epic is far more evil and anti-consumer than Valve, so this is very bad news. Sad seeing developers choosing greed over people. I’d be happy for competition if it was actually a place that was for people and the betterment of gaming over greed.
So why is Kotaku completely silent on the shady business Epic Games is doing? Their refund policy right now is shitty (the no question asked comes later apparently), their security is shitty, they work with Tencent.
Since when are exclusives a good thing? As far as I know Steam never tried to stop anyone from selling their games other places. This is a negative in my opinion.
