I come to read these articles specifically to get my enjoyment stomped on.
Such an amazing episode. Of course it gets a crappy score here.
The Bond I was first introduced to was Pierce Brosnan’s, which might be why I didn’t become a Bond fan and still haven’t seen any of Craig’s. I liked De Palma’s Mission: Impossible for being so unlike Bond, but then that series shifted to having similarly stupid plots about villains who want to blow up the world.
TBF all James Bond does is rape. Like in the last film, he killed a guy then raped the widow at the guys funeral. Like James Bond is a metaphor for imperialism bro. An English man who comes into a foreign land and rapes and murders with impunity all for The British Government's sake. He's imperialism.
It’s no Moonraker
This is like a Troll Post bingo card bonanza right here. Well done.
What about Pratt’s prior output makes you think he can do a credible (or cartoonish) Italian accent?...Or do we even want him to do an accent?...Or do we even want Mario to talk?...Or...Christ this movie's going to be a disaster.
This cast has actually made me want to watch the movie because of just how much of a garbage fire it’ll be. KMK as Toad alone is probably going to have a thousand memes based on him.
Did a lot of these feel like pilots to anyone else? Off the top of my head, “The Twins”, “Lop and Ocho”, and “The Ninth Jedi” each feel like they set up a legitimate series (that I would be deeply interested in). “Lop” and “Ninth” definitely seem the most grounded too, like they could easily be canonized.
“The Duel” and “The Ninth Jedi” would absolutely work as feature-length films.
This episode was a lot of fun. Not everything has to be a cataclysmic world ending disaster waiting to happen. Some things can just be...fun, y’know?
now i’m not one to harp on letter scores, but i just really don’t understand what sam wants from this show.
I absolutely loved this episode because of how insanely silly it was and the utter committal to it. Also I did laugh a lot, so since the comedy worked for me, it helped the episode along. The God of Partying is just such a natural gimmick for Thor and he was so enjoyable that for once I didn’t find Captain Marvel…
Did you mean “by NOT tying itself to the Skywalker saga”? Since the show obviously isn’t tied to it in any way.
Tired: turning beloved works of anime into inevitably inferior live action products.
you can’t cage the Cage
Awesome, a studio that has never done an action game and is famous for its writing, which sucks. And had a big workplace harassment scandal a few years back. Why the fuck would you let them take this property on?
Marvel movies are too formulaic whereas DC movies are not formulaic enough.
