Personally I’d much rather them iterate on the excellent base they started with and get the game out relatively quickly, then spend extra years reinventing the wheel when they don’t need to.

Studios announcing a game shouldn’t get news coverage? That’s one of the stupider things I’ve heard recently, and there’s no shortage of competition these days.

We can hope, but I’m going to have to see some real gameplay before I decide to re-purchase a game I’ve bought three times already over the past two decades.

Yeah, I hope that this is sort of a feeler they’re putting out to see if there’s enough KOTOR love out there for a new game.

If people love this and buy it, I wouldn’t be surprised if they remake the sequel too.

They’d definitely have to change it.  That Revan book was crap.

Yeah, but TOR was awful, and almost completely disregarded absolutely everything about the original 2, that I never considered it canon (even before Disney bought everything). On top of that, the Revan book that Karpyshyn wrote to bridge the gap between KOTOR2 and TOR completely shat all over everything that happened…

Gosh so many questions. How do you even remake this? Will they overhaul the character building and combat entirely? I can’t imagine they’ll use the old D20 style system. It’s just very slow by today’s standards.

Hopefully this does well enough to warrant remaking KOTOR2, and then we can finally get 3.

Netflix has a horrible track record with live action versions of anime and the costume reveal last week looked like amateur cosplay. Jet’s arm especially was just... not good. Add to that the fact that the original creator basically wrote off this version and the actress playing Faye is doing her best Brie Larson…

Entire demographics of moviegoers have been completely abandoned.
