The point is, most of those people buying that $1200 care, CANNOT AFFORD FULL COVERAGE OR ANOTHER $1200 IN SAVINGS. So they are not stupid for not having it, they are desperate poor people trying to get by.

Some people NEED a CAR to WORK. As in, they will not be employed without one. And no, a bike is not always feasible.

I know handicapped people, physically, mentally, who have made it. So yes, I think anyone can do it.

Either you have insurance cover or savings to cover your loss, or you don’t because you are a poor planner. Seems pretty black and white to me.

Hence 2 or 3 jobs, saving, roommates, sacrificing, living well below your means, and planning.
