No it doesn’t. But looking at the video, he doesn’t seem to be threatening, and I’ve not seen any reports from the woman involved that he said anything threatening. I think a lot of people want to try and attribute that to him because they like a one-sided situation better than having to admit there was bad behavior…

I’m not trying to say that Drejka was a good person. I think he was doing it because he has a thing about people parking in handicapped spots and I really can’t blame him for that. If I saw someone do it, I’d say something too.  

Have you watched the video? There is no volume so you can’t tell what is said, but he stands at least a foot or two away from the door when he’s confronting the driver. The confrontation doesn’t seem threatening. 

I think when the story posits the girlfriend as just minding her own business, it IS trying to excuse the behavior of the driver.

Well I’d say a “very likely” death is inaccurate. The level of danger you think exists outside for a cat is way over blown. Your cat is almost certainly safer going outside than many of the activities you likely do in a day, like drive or ride around in a car. It’s so ridiculous.

Yes, life has risks. I don’t keep my kids indoors all the time, or myself. Some amount of risk is a really stupid reason to insist that a cat be kept indoors. THEY ARE NOT CHILDREN!!! They don’t need that much protection from the everyday world!

Like you said, no hard data, just various anecdotes, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to look at my 8 cats and say that there isn’t a huge difference. My average is 10 years and my cat right now that is allowed in or out as he likes is 13.
