Totally fair! I felt a little patronize but it was the characters that saved it for me. I'm not sure how to watch this movie now. I walked in as a movie fan who also really liked Star Wars... And with that approach I got very annoyed that JJ had to cater to Star Wars fans who may not be movie fans.
