the same reason why leafy is popular for surfing on cs:go. its not because he’s fucking great, its not because the game is superb, its because they want to watch his shit.

if they were talentless then people wouldn’t be watching them. letsplays are more than just ‘talking over a game’ and require a lot of video editting and effort to be entertaining. its not the game that makes people watch, its the personalities.

as someone who has developed a game, then yeah, i’d be fine with that.
