trollette is trolling.

I’ve been slightly obsessed with this since I read about it yesterday; I used to live in the county it’s happening in so it feels especially close to my heart.

I thought she perhaps had a relationship with The Children’s Village and by relationship I mean kickbacks. But your thought makes sense.

Holy shit this woman sounds like she crawled out a Charles Dickens novel. This is not the Victorian era, you cannot send kids to the workhouse for being disobedient.

The judge? I doubt it. I don’t know what the law is re: kidnapping in MI, and I’m not sure what she did meets that standard, whatever it is.

Perhaps that judge might want to look into the Josh Powell case? Those boys were forced into visitation with their father–who hadn’t broken any laws–as well. Children are property.

Don’t you think there is something really bizarre about how insistent the judge is? I almost wonder if she has a relationship with him....it’s too intense and personal.

Hell, even if you were an exemplary parent (or thought you were), your kids are still allowed to say “no thanks” to lunch or whatever and not go to jail for it.

But don’t you know? Children (like women!) exist as rewards for adult men who have “earned” their time and affection, and not as beings unto themselves with needs and desires and agency!

I can’t believe the Bar Association hasn’t sent out a hit squad. This lunatic makes the entire judiciary look crazy.

The saddest thing in this world is when adults don’t listen to children. When adults act like bosses 100% of the time, and children are supposed to just “listen and obey” you’re taking away their ability to speak up and think for themselves. You’re taking away their confidence and trust in adults.

I broke the #1 rule of the internet - “Don’t read the comments”.

saying the father had “jumped through hoops” to have a relationship with his children.

I’m a family law attorney, and my office has been up in arms about this all week.

several troglodytes have beat you to that, non-ironically.

He’s grabbing on to her and only swings to defend herself when he won’t let go after she she tries to pull away. It’s perfectly legal for her to do that.

I’m sure no one will point out that the woman deserved the punch because she appeared to graze his shoulder. Nope there will not be a bunch of neanderthal’s saying this was self defense. Nope that will not happen.

It’s uses comedy to make really incisive commentary about rape culture, actually. I loved it.

Kimmy Schmidt restored my faith in black comedy. Toss those Family Guy rape jokes in the trash and bring back the real black comedies that make incisive observations about their subject matter!

Lol.
