I still feel cheated that she's not a natural redhead.

This is probably pretty off base but I think it may have been something of a political decision. Buffy had been a show about a white chick and her white gfs/bfs for six seasons, and then the seventh season happens and we remember that other people exist, from Woods to the worldwide gaggle of annoying teen girls.

I did an involuntary double take when I realized the wad of kevlar and tactical gear in the picture was actually supposed to be David fucking Boreanaz.

At this point actually getting angry at anything and posting in public about it just makes you look like a narcissistic psychopath regardless of intent.

So does this dude still count as an example of "heroic" behavior by the standards of the AV Club?

Why, because they're right of center? They get attacked for their opinions a lot but Coogin is the only one I see prominently and I never think he says anything crazier than "democrats are corrupt," which however you identify on the spectrum is sort of inarguable.

But apparently not for the use of the right homophones, haha. (I kid.)

You can be annoyed at whatever you want, but at this point, and as a PoC myself, I just choose not to wallow in resentment at decisions made in the past by people who are in many cases now dead.

I don't want to uncle tom on this dude's identity politics or anything but I've never been pissed off that white people are in the forefront of a thing that white people made, particularly in the referenced GoT example, where their culture is portrayed as being incredibly backwards, purity-obsessive and inbred by

Let's not forget The War at Home!

I mean, Buzz Lightyear is cool.

He's way too into the whole oil aspect of international commerce for me to be comfortable with, but he does seem like someone who's actually capable of breaking and taking bad news, so that's a start.

Well we gotta have standards of *some* kind right?

"From WBEZ Chicago it's this…oh god…shit…NO…NO YOU COME BACK HERE. YEAH, DIDN'T THINK I'D REMEMBER THE SHOTGUN THIS TIME DID YOU!…this American Life, I'm Ira Glass."

But we still need you guys to know that the band is a thing! Really, we do!

Honestly, Mattis, the guy who probably shouldn't have a SecDef post as someone so closely tied to the military, is probably the only one with anywhere near the sense to pull something like that. As for his integrity…

Eh, hang around long enough and you'll find that everything the AV club covers eventually gets accused of rape.

It took me a little bit before I realized the overall point of this statement, but now that I understand it, I'm very amused.

This is where someone does that "The AV Club" meme right?

Honestly dude, you're actually pretty late to the show with that joke.
