I personally loved every opportunity to make fun of the website for continuing to publicize the band and its activities.

Nah, people still need to insult virgins to feel accomplished. I think we'll have to revisit this one in a decade or so.
Haha, changing the feature pic I see…
Well, worry not PWR BTTM, AV Club will still publicize for you!
The original Macross stuff may be worth your time if you're into the concept of transforming F-14s fighting giant aliens, but yeah, Gundam is better if you're looking for a story about an actual war.
Well, Gundam was actually a show, while Robotech was three different shows stapled together, like if someone tried to adapt the franchise as a whole by combining footage from Zeta Gundam, Gundam Wing and Build Fighters.
Or really any terms whatsoever…
It doesn't, but it also doesn't preclude its reputation from being darkened by association. It's not fair or anything, but it's not like that's not how it is.
I think that joke was in such poor taste and yet so well executed, it's like watching spoiled milk fester and curdle into a brilliant tasty cheese right before your eyes.
Well, he did pick Damon Lindelof to be our guide into existentialism…
Yeah, I'm unsure if you could say the film in itself is racist, but it was conceived of and popularized during a period of intense racism, and as such has been sort of co-opted by racists of the time and culture police of the modern era to be affiliated with it. Not really fair to old Kong himself, but at this point…
I don't really know if it's as simple as that. I'm not super sure about the political attitudes of Merian Cooper, other than the fact that the time he spent in a Soviet POW camp during the Polish-Soviet war made him an ardent anti-communist, and I doubt he was specifically coding the Ape itself as being a black man…
All I'll say is that it was one of Adolf's favorite movies when it dropped in 1933…
Hey, don't insult Stalin like that, he at least had a plan to carry out his mass murder designs.
I think the most despicable thing I've done in a video game is dooming the Earth to thousands of years of darkness as the Prince in Prince of Persia for the sake of a woman he'd known for 8 hours.
So does this band still have fans on the internet or just apologists?
Yeah, they looked through her search history and found nothing untoward on her internet explorer, but her firefox browser had undeleted searches for "fool-proof strangulation" in the history. Like, does the prosecution still use IE? Why would they expect anyone else to?
You'd have to bring up that Axe believes that black bottles matter.
I'm embarrassed to say the only person I came out of the trilogy actually being attracted to is Shepard herself. I guess that makes me a narcissist or something.
Yeah…this is the same company that owns all the Axe body-spray stuff, so that's something to keep in mind. Basically even if you're sitting there on twitter slamming faux-progressivism to pat yourself on the head, you're still basically playing their game as they prescribed it. They still get to trend, and the soap…
