I’ve said this for years - I would rather live in Phoenix for 1000 years than have to live in Vegas for one.  FTR, I don’t live in the former, but have to go there frequently.  It’s not ideal, but if you gotta live in the desert, nothing could be worse than Vegas..

Maybe don’t live in a city that was literally built for tourists and generates 100% of its profit from tourism? This is like choosing to live in Disneyland and complaining whenever a new ride is installed.
