False. OPEC would have dramatically LESS control over the cost of oil if we didn’t have to buy from them and LESS control over our politics and policies as a result. They don’t have some magic power chief. Once we wean off of their oily teat, we can tell them to go pound sand, figuratively and literally.

False. The less oil we have to buy on the international markets controlled by unfriendly countries (e.g. Saudi Arabia, the rest of OPEC, Iran, Ruzzia....) the less influence those countries have over our policies, both foreign and domestic.

Whether they pollute less or not on the whole, EV’s decrease our dependency on foreign oil, which is absolutely a good thing.
