Meh. It’s poorly packaged. We have a 2nd Gen Volt and the wife wanted something newer so we test drove a Bolt. The numbers may be better but the interior space is terrible.  The storage space in the rear is all vertical and unusable, and the seats are torture devices.  Hard pass.

I hate to admit it but I loved that show Ice Road Truckers and they were always talking about how pipe is a dangerous load because in an accident it can shoot thru the back of the cab and kill you. Go ahead and insert your own pipe/shooting/loads  joke here I guess.

I don’t know where you live but here in CA if you leave more than about 10 feet of space open in front of you in anything but the most rightward lane, an endless stream of cars will cut in, backing everyone up.

In my youth, as a relatively cheap guy, I never splurged for good tires. Then a few years ago I replaced the OEM crappy tires on our RX350 for some Michelins and it was life changing. Even on a porky Lexus suv, it makes a world of difference.

Not so much. The charges are typically filed by the agency, and not “prosecuted” by anyone. The cop is a witness for the state and doesn’t have authority to plea bargain. There’s no lawyer putting on a case. If there’s plea bargaining by a defendant, it’s bargaining with the court itself. That’s typically how it works…
