I mained a Storm too, since I found that it was totally overpowered compared to the other Javelins, especially with its ability to stay in the air considerably longer. The Interceptor was definitely the most fun Javelin to play though because it just cut down enemies so fast.
I sort of dawdled through the main campaign and when I got to the last fight, I crashed and burned badly the first time because I had to do it solo since the matchmaking didn’t find anyone to join me. The second time I tried it, someone else joined me and the two of us managed to win the fight. I can’t imagine how bad…
While everything seems to continually compare this to Destiny (which is probably more well known), it sounds really really close to what we got with Bioware’s Anthem.
Frankly I’m more worried that they’re going to look more at Anthem than DAI or MEA.
I’ll admit, I played DA:O and DA 2 and I was so totally confused when the villain of DAI showed up and all the characters were saying, “It’s THAT guy!” and I had no clue who he was because I hadn’t played a specific DLC for DA2. I still judge the DA series’ narrative structure harshly to this day for that.
Your post reminded me how much I would love to see a proper Justice League game before a Suicide Squad one (though this does look like it will be fun). Just like on the movie-side, DC really needs to step up its gaming status and promote their heroes as, you know, heroes.
This seems like a perfect legitimate use for torrent technology. It would relieve the stress on the MS servers and as more people download segments it becomes further decentralized and faster.
Just want to shout-out to the Alpha Centauri love. I adored that game so much, even more than the Civilization games. In the vein of this discussion, I was so excited when I heard about Civilization: Beyond Earth especially since AC became really hard to play on newer computers. While it’s a good enough game, Beyond…
I had a similar issue while playing Watch Dogs 2 on PS4. We all know that the Circle button is the one to cancel actions or close interface panels. In WD2 it was the melee button. I lost count of the number of times I beat up innocent bystanders standing next to Marcus when I meant to close the phone interface they…
Ahem.
I saw it and figured this is something I’d probably wait to get it as a free PS+ game, maybe try an afternoon of it and bounce off.
The screenshots also remind me a lot of The Untitled Goose Game in its aesthetics, which is a very good thing.
Hopefully they keep it up even with the next-gen’s design focus on game loading and memory management. But I think at the start of this generation, developers will get lazy with all the extra room they have to play, but as they begin to build bigger and more ambitious stuff, they’ll need to relearn these sorts of…
One of my first times on the Nexus I had a random player give me 10K carbon. I was so overwhelmed with everything going on it barely registered to me at the time. That player saved me so much endless harvesting during the next several weeks of playing. I drifted away from the game again, so I think I still have a…
Cheaters get banned every day, but something you don’t see too often is the cheaters getting banned after winning a tournament.
When I was playing it, I could almost see the skeleton of what could have been an excellent single-player game on the level with Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Elements like team building were there and the Strider working like some sort of base of operations, until you settle in the city.
At one point a live action version had been pitched for HBO. But it was from Guillermo Del Toro and, sadly, we all know what happens to most of his projects.
After 2018 it all seems sort of underwhelming. I’m all in for an Untitled Goose just sneaking in and stealing all the awards.
I predict that both Death Stranding and The Last of Us Part 2 (interesting how TLoU keeps ending up on the cusp of generations) will have a big patch on the PS5 release day that will update those games to take advantage of the new features in the PS5. They both seem like the type of games that would leap for the…
