Why would they go with that Superman costume instead of the more classic S?
Why would they go with that Superman costume instead of the more classic S?
This reminds me of stories I've heard about tire companies designing tires that don't need to be replaced and then burying them in fear of going out of business. Or the fact that oil companies are the ones with the greatest investment in alternate energy research, yet will they ever allow that research become…
Crashing space liner? On a Doctor Who Christmas Special? Wait, where I have I seen that before? Well, I'll miss Kylie Minogue, she did a great job, but Karen Gillan more than makes up for the lack of petite Australian pop stars.
@ShanaLD: I'm actually not too fussed about Heigl leaving. I've never really seen the appeal in her, and she seems so fickle in her project choices. It always seems like we're hearing about her leaving another project.
Re: Caprica
When I was watching this episode, I wondered why Clarice has to protect Lacy from her husbands (aside from trying to show that she was really working in Lacy's best interest) and then I realized why. It also answers the question about why her poly family would support such an action. They all (rightly) believe that…
@fskornia: And I go and answer my own question. I guess it is correct. According to the timeline at Battlestar Wiki ([en.battlestarwiki.org] William was born in 69 BCH (Before Cylon Holocaust) which would have made him 69 at the start of the miniseries.
Is anyone else thrown off by this part: "Blood and Chrome takes place 20 years after Caprica and about 40 years before Battlestar Galactica."
@steam23: I also wondered about athletes - especially for sports that need high hand-eye coordination - whether they have a greater awareness of their arms and legs and therefore can move their feet and hands more effectively.
@RtFusion: It's a Lost reference. The plane that crashed on the Island with the Losties was from Oceanic Airlines.
@LovelyHue: Indeed! I remember reading one of the later Raymond E. Feist novels and at one point he brings back characters from his earlier books (Pug and Tomas I believe their names were). These two characters had grown so powerful during their earlier adventures they raided a heavily guarded castle and barely broke…
@bluehinter: Well Doctor Who is still ostensibly a children's show. It is just that us adults love it so much we forget that part.
@Ant Girl: Also in the gun shop was the little girl playing at the kids' table. Only in True Blood Louisiana.
At the time this was marketed cars did not have modern turn signals (they were patented in 1938). So turns were indicated using hand signals. As the article mentions, at night it could be hard to see the hand signals. So they mounted a reflector on a wristband. Makes a lot of sense to me.
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: I agree wholeheartedly on your initial point about Allison. I was thinking right at the start, Fargo should name her a subdirector, or even an executive assistant. Something where it would make sense for her to be feeding him advice.
@psychiccheese: Eep, thanks. Still figuring out all the ins and outs of commenting here.
Just a slight correction (at least for east coast folks) Warehouse 13 is on at 9pm on Tuesday, not 10pm. I made the same last week and had to wait until 11 (plus the extra time the stupid wrestling ran over) to watch it.
Is there anyone else that would rather see an adaptation of the Gregory Maguire novel rather than the musical?
Is anyone bugged by number 7? "7 Anjali Joseph (b 1978) Her debut novel, Saraswati Park, is published next month. Sharp yet lyrical, the novel, which is set in Bombay, shows the influence of Amit Chaudhuri."
@bluehinter: I can't be the only that thinks of the Volus from Mass Effect when I look at that picture.
