Air Video does that too. It has two options: you can have it live convert and stream at the same time as you watch it, or you can add a video to a conversion queue so it is ready and converted when you want to watch it.

The Mac Portable looks like a Nintendo DS.

Worked for me with XCode 3.2.2, so you don't even need 3.2.6, and you definitely don't need 4. So if you've already got XCode, save yourself the $5, and save yourself the 4+GB download.

You mention 'awesome' things. Want to list some of them?

How does StreamToMe differ from Air Video? I have Air Video, which is great, so I was surprised when something else was included on this list instead, as I was under the impression that Gizmodo was the one who recommended it. Is StreamToMe better in any way?

Thanks!

Good one! Bet you actually find a lot...

That case thing is pretty slick. It's obviously designed with the iPad, something other case manufacturers couldnt do, as this one has corresponding parts IN the device. Pretty slick, since they have the ability to do this, that they make use of it. I assume that there are magnets in the iPad on the side, that line up

Ok, well that was basically The Big Lebowski in a Tron setting, with a few Tron things slipped into the dialogue.

Sort of - their app will lock and unlock the car, but it does it over the internet, not using NFC. You still need the card to initially unlock and lock the car, so the app can't work independently. When you first sign up you have to wait a week or two to get the card as well, so you can't start right away even if you

Everyone's mentioned the security problems already, so I won't bother repeating those.

Nah, I normally access on my iPad, so it automatically loads m.gizmodo.com, so I don't even see the new one. I was mainly just commenting that commenting seems to be down, and maybe giz should notice that.

Holy crap!

The design looks kinda stupid to me. I know the flat back is nice compared to the first iPad's deceptively thin curved one, but the rounding on the edges just looks kinda stupid. I'm sure it's different if you hold it though.

THAT mouse is outdated...

@hostile-17: My thoughts are that it's not that we're making something real look fake - it's just that all the fake things happen to look like something real (and that's what they're trying to do). Basically this doesn't look like a video game, video games look like this. When they make the video games really high

Sweet, good to know.

Technically Lifehacker is your brother from the same mother: Gawker Media.

YEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!

@gstatty: I just got an LG BD-550, which is only $99 on amazon, and it does both quite nicely! My only complaint is no way to search for Netflix movies, but typing with a remote would suck anyways, and I can do that with my iPhone pretty easily.
