There's one thing I think you're leaving out here: Sure, most of the reason we buy good gadgets is we want the quality for our usage; but a good part of the reason is also bragging rights. We buy the gadgets we want partially just because we want to say we have them (don't deny it, you know you do), and having the

Wow, this looks a LOT like my 2008 black MacBook.

Don't forget the $399 iPad at TJ Maxx.

Hey #Apple, change the #iPad switch back to screen lock!

Why the hell is everyone touting the screen lock change as a feature? It sucks; I could already mute it by holding volume down.

I could see MS buying this company in a year or two - and if they're smart, they probably will.

@club662: That's a good point. That pretty much applies to Kinect in general though, so if you're going to use Kinect rather than play real sports, this would be a cool game for it.

I'm imagining this:

No one's using the Xboxes..?

@AnalogDan: If she had a new one, those don't have the black thing.

Other option for coverage: the Clearwire iSpot, which costs the same as the MiFi and Overdrive, and yet offers full 4G service for only $25, UNLIMITED!

I had an 1100!

I was just thinking this. Where the hell are the Office iPad apps?

@macserv: Just to note, since it's likely you're posting in response to my post, at least partially, I do own an iPad, and an iPhone, and a Mac. Just because someone owns Apple products doesn't mean they have to be a fanboy automatically, and can't bash them at all. I enjoy Apple's products a lot, but I think they can

@Keebler: Yeah, that's kind of annoying, but it's only an iPhone thing... atleast for now.

@siwex80: Yeah, that I understand. My fear about the multitasking on the iPad is due to the fact that it has only half the ram of the iPhone 4. Also I'm probably a little afraid of it due to the fact that after the iOS 4 upgrade, my 3G became basically unusable...

This seems to me like another example of Apple's love to control everything, in ways that aren't always best for the users. I personally love the physical orientation lock button on the iPad: it's brilliant. I use it all the time. I think changing that functionality is unbelievably stupid. I get that they're trying to

@pj_rage: It seems like anyone who has the iPhone 4 hates their iPad...
