One thing that you could do is grab some flint (or other other fire things) and wood, make it burn and let the time pass until it stops raining. Even if it rains this works most of the time under some trees, buildings or other stuff.

I actually like this kind of content, because it gives you some reason to replay the game again.

Once I had a windows laptop that shut down due to heat and the problem was not the dust. It was also just one year old, so how could it be. But it turned out by switching the thermal paste it worked again like a charm. I do not recommend doing this process though, unless you know what you are doing :D.
