Nice article - very fair and careful not to play to any "camp." All claims are reasonable and justified - but Apple will still sell a boatload of these. People will still perceive it to be the median of Apple's line, even if its performance does not measure up.

Thanks for the info - this is a very good insider's perspective. Are any of your photos available online to view? Cheers.

Also - is anyone else having problems logging in through twitter? This is my first comment/login that has gone through since the commenting system switch...

Just grabbed the chrome extension to get rid of this horrible new comment system, and revert back to the classic one page format. If anyone else is interested here's the link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ebpikpglbmpefffekgcdhogkpihphjja#detail/ebpikpglbmpefffekgcdhogkpihphjja

ditto - lots of fun to make free cds for each show. You can stamp the cases with the date or a diff insert. We used to make folded paper bag cases and hand em out at the stage. Good way to get people up and moving while setting up the drums etc.

Couldn't it be both? Most of our political elite are Ivy leaguers after all.....

This is so far off topic that it doesn't even merit continuing. Theer is no reason/need/desire to compare paranormal theorists with forensic computer examination and legal procedures.

Kinda off topic - but yes I understand what you are saying. In specific, forensic situations the 'lack of evidence' can prompt interest in further inquiry.

Yes, agreed. I have seen a couple ridiculous online videos of downhill, offroad unicycling. It takes a specific type of crazy to fill this niche - but if I was so inclined, I would likely not head out to the mountain in my $40 "one-der wheel" (get it, we're the Oneders!)

If they could build a stone ship, they could likely build a jello one too. And the choice is clear - jello all the way. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold up well in seawater. Hence no evidence.

don't be ridiculous - it's a landing strip for more space rocks

no kidding

Actually stealing code is very different than stealing an idea - I don't support either, and I am not trying to start any conflict here. I am just interested in seeing how complex the code and theft were.

lol seriously. I think the funniest thing is that people are looking to the Republicans for new ideas anyways... They have been pushing their "Just say no to anything Obama wants" mantra to new depths.

The best thing you can do is just do a quick hands on, even try to create some low light shots. The HDR function is interesting - but on a camera such as this maybe not quite as important. If you plan to use this underwater, or snowboarding (I do both frequently) you really will not want to navigate between functions,

You just KNOW that the one on the right is wearing velcro shoes too... nice

The seals are a big concern on the Olympus. My girlfriend has it, and it fogs up so bad from trapped moisture that she doesn't even trust it around water anymore. Not that it will leak and die, but when it has been in/near water it may fog up for a long time (making it unusable)

All of these posts are correct, but certain cameras are more prone to trapping moisture in seams. And several cameras (especially ones that use a dual barrier system) often get moisture trapped between the seals. Unless you open all hatches and let the camera dry naturally they can be VERY prone to fogging.

100 per cent agree.

Strange - I have been extremely happy with my Nikon AW100. I guess to each his own - but this thing is super rugged, and I don't find the colours flat and washed out at all. Many online reviews compared it to the Olympus and Lumix and the images are simply amazing - they are all good, but in my experience it is the
