As I recall, Tom said he isn't including superhero movies post-1999. That's why there were no X-Men or Spider-Man movies. I'm not sure I agree with his policy, but then again, it's not my column.

According to the Maya on this date in 3114 BCE humanity was created. So happy 5,130th anniversary fellow human beings, let's see if we can hold out a few more.
Face/Off drives me crazy. The idea is so absurd it is almost impossible to say out loud with a straight face, and yet anytime I see it on when I am flipping through channels I end watching the whole damn thing.
I still can't figure out how movies like Eyes Wide Shut and The Blair Witch Project made the top 50, but SotL didn't even qualify for honorable mention.
Starship Troopers over LA Confidential? Really?
Yeah, he was still finding his voice when he did his Trump interview, trying to figure out how to talk to people as Stephen Colbert instead of "Stephen Colbert".
That is plausible enough that I honestly feel like they may of just given this show a straight to series order.
Should have gone with "Whack for my Daddio"
Remember when after years of negotiation South Korea agreed to let the US deploy THAAD in the country only to have Trump take office and then demand that South Korea pay for it, at which point the ROK simply cancelled the rest of the installation? That was really dumb of Trump.
My Hanson story:
"Fly" might be the song I hate more than any other. Not only is it horrible, it was being played all the damn time. At one point, it would actually give me a headache to have to listen to it. The only silver lining I had initially was that everyone kept saying Sugar Ray was going to be a one hit wonder, but that…
As someone who has suffered photoepileptic seizures and migraines… I did not enjoy it.
Let me just say that as someone who also regularly visits The National Interest and other related sites, I am going to miss seeing replies to posts about the relatives advantages of the Mackinder and Mahanian approaches to geopolitics right next to ones containing Simpson's quotes.
Now I'm sure we are all thinking "sure Kinja is great and I don't mind dealing with all the complications from the fact it is terrible but how will I remember a new password?"
Disqus ain't great, but if the great Spot.IM debacle taught us anything, it's that things can be a whole lot worse.
For what it's worth, she's currently dating Aronofsky in real life and I think he's the same age as Bardem.
I think my mom probably got rid of it when we moved, but there is not a non-zero chance that some of it might be in box in my parent's basement.
I don't know the first one I watched but I remember the first one I bought. We had just won a DVD player at my dad's company Christmas party so my dad sent me and my brother out to pick up a couple DVDs. I got There's Something About Mary and my brother got Half Baked.
Be interesting to see if Maduro can keep control of the military. If there was ever a country that looked primed for a coup its Venezuela. I know he and Chavez purged the upper echelons of the military, but regional history suggests one lead by mid-level officers ("Colonels' Coup") is more likely anyways.
How can you talk about 1997 TV debuts and not mention The Practice? I know it earned as reputation as the "Best Show You Are Not Watching" because of low ratings, but it was damn good television (at least for the first couple years). Certainly superior to Kelly's other Boston base legal drama (Ally McBeal)
