Yeah. They continue to mix their games in attempts to merge more of their audiences. This was on grand display with Breakpoint where they clearly tried to merge Wildlands with The Division. But Breakpoint arguably didn’t do a single thing better than the other two games. And Wildlands itself, which TBF my friends

Imo, the trick is to find the balance to where hidden blade still insta-kills, but the emphasis is really on setup.

It’s just bad marketing, and pretty offensive to large swaths of fans.

When the pics in question are less about what the character can DO, and more about their ass (when we don’t even get that for men’s asses), then yes. Plus the bonus of not talking about what she does and saying “we all horny”.  Maybe focus less on the horny and more about what the DLC brings in terms of play.

Fighting games are caught in a vicious feedback loop - over the years they’ve built up a following that is almost entirely composed of awful trash people, and so to compete within the genre, they have to cater to awful trash people.

I got into an annoying argument with someone about Aloy in Horizon Zero Dawn that started with “a woman can’t do all that stuff” (which I attempted to counter with the triple threat of “no one can - it doesn’t have to be fully realistic” and “some women could - Aloy is one” and “it’s a video game”)
But it was all a

In the trailer? Sure, because they want you to remember who the protagonist is and see facial expressions.

It's almost like it's a video game and some things need to be embellished for the sake of entertainment.

Uhhh that's how they always were on steam too?? Unless you buy through UPLAY store, you are using a third party platform as well lmfao

You can buy it directly from the UPlay store and avoid Epic if you want and only have one launcher to worry about.

But what even are Assassin’s Creed games anymore?

I’m pretty sure that art direction, tone, theme, and hints at story beats are representative elements of the final game. Yes, some gameplay footage would also be nice, but a theatrical-style trailer helps give people an idea of what this game is.

Play the last two AC games... it’ll play like that. Saved you some wondering :P

I don’t know, considering how well received Origins and Odyssey were, I’m sensing a good bit of snark.

I actually really disliked the AC series until I played Odyssey and Origins. I think them pivoting into a more RPG-type game brought me in in a way the first games never could for some reason.

I’m way behind on it (half way through 3) but from an outsider’s perspective I’ve seen quite a bit of love for Origins and Odyssey.

The Scary Door: The Game

Boy, who’d have thought that a series about examining human connection in the apocalypse would focus on the romantic relationship between two female characters. Not like the developers and publisher didn’t signpost it with the reveal trailers months ago.

I made the mistake of clicking around Twitter and a lot of dipshits on there are mad about the plot being too “woke" and sjw or some shit and I want to slap those people while also avoiding any spoilers. What a bunch of babies

Have you never been in a relationship before? Women can love cute things, and I am sure many of them who like Pokemon think these are cute. It’s not about them “suddenly turning 12" because they like Pokemon-themed sexy wear.
