I had an 03 XC70 with electronic AWD and it worked great. FWD bias but it worked when I needed it to, never had trouble on sand, mud or snow. Just curious, what year was the XC? The P80 chassis cars from the 90s had a mechanical setup and if the driveshaft was removed, you no longer had AWD.
