Fuck the consumer base, not Honda. If we were buying them they’d keep making them. I think it’s more notable that they were stubborn enough to keep building Accord manuals on a 1% uptake rate. The C7 vette manual rate was almost 20 times that and GM killed that transmission anyway.

Of course they are killing the Fit. It’s a car that fills the needs of 94.3% of America so no one is buying it. As for getting rid of the Accord manual... Eff everyone who talks the talk but doesn’t buy manual transmissions.

I know that people love to be gatekeepers with respect to manual transmissions, but how long can we keep making this argument when the base 911, Corvette, etc are no longer offered with a manual. Should hot hatches really be held to a higher standard than true sports cars?  A manual enhances certain experiences but…
