"The fact that he couldn't grasp the very obvious reality that a
brain-washed Lily wouldn't be the same person made it difficult for me
to connect with him or care about him, because he just seemed stupid."

I once thought that Dorian would have links to Dracula - the eternal youth and the glam sexuality. There's an element of Victorian literature wherein sexual desire unleashes hell in women. That explains Vanessa's origin and Dorian's original purpose in the show.

I didn't see the Hyde thing as a disappointment. There's a long tradition of ending a narrative while getting in a hint that a new major player (one we won't get to watch) is emerging.

They never did figure out what to do with Dorian. I always somewhat suspected that they ended up giving a lot of Dorian's pathos to Victor, as Treadaway ended up being far too compelling in a role that was arguably the most thankless of the vintage monsters.

I think Vanessa's ending was earned. We've been shown enough to believe that she was tired of fighting, and she was able to end it the way she wanted. Her faith was redeemed and she sacrificed herself. This show has always had a sense of the parable and it played off here.

We're both real smart.

I would have been down for a quick visit to the Bre-n-Pod Roadshow.

I expected Ghost to be the one to eat ramsay. idk idk

I expect a large Etsy industry of elaborately embroidered "Happy Shitting!" signs for bathrooms.

To answer the question of POV, I think we would have seen the battle through Davos' eyes on the page.

Davos as Maester. Dude needs a stable job.

Plz Lyanna's gonna marry Arya.

Yup, I saw it too. Yara's too good for Dany tho

I was more relieved at Tormund's survival than I expected to be. Jon's ragtag group of weirdos wouldn't be weird without man-Ygritte.

I knew he would die when we saw Shireen in the "previously on GOT" clips. Icky reminder that this show is willing to kill kids.

I wish Arya had run away to Bear Island instead of fucking ninja camp.

Isn't Dorne independent? I don't think it's out of turn for the Iron Islands to be independent but loyal to the throne.

It looks like she's been inducted into Jon's core group. We better see her next week when the group convenes to move rocks around on their war plan map.

I need her to sit down with Davos and Brienne to talk methods for dispensing of the idiots around them.

Remember that dude who turned Rickon over to Ramsay? I think he encountered Jon in the battle and he opted not to kill Jon. I don't think he expected Ramsay to kill Rickon, or I think he didn't expect to feel a certain way about it.
