I definitely think they managed to insert a bit of artistry into the war sequences. It was freaking dark and brutal but it wasn't a mess.

I'm gonna need a screencap of little Lyanna's reaction to Ramsay. I have memes to make!
I mean, it wasn't as flat-out fun as last year's ZOMBIES V. GIANTS but I appreciate that it really went there. It's hard for Game of Thrones to come up with different ways to depict battle and they'd never gone this route before.
Probably that Umber/Karstark/who cares dude, since I THINK his guilt saved Jon's life during the battle.
Ahhh true. I actually missed that bit the first time around. Caught it just now on the rewatch. You're probably right about the telegraphing. It stuck out just like every time a Stark kid has called Jon MY BROTHER this year.

I don't see it happening if Littlefinger doesn't die someow. Or Sansa could marry Robin, or there could be any other nonsensical plot turn, depending on the whims of D+D. I don't put it past them to come up with something very convenient if it's what they want to do.
The theory that Dany is the villain is rather compelling. Real-life villains aren't EVIL and twirling their mustaches. They, in their own demented way, think they're doing the right thing. Dany has invaded multiple cities and enforced her own beliefs and social order on them. She leaves those cities in ruin. What's…
My thoughts exactly. It's not great if Sansa looks cunning only by withholding information.
Brienne and Tormund both like biting people's faces off. True love!!!!!!
i was glad that Sansa was the one to do it.
I'm dumdum, not following. explain plz?
Maybe they need to resurrect the Quentyn plot for something no one cares about????
i hope not Dorne.
I do wish she'd told Jon about the army….in the conversation about needing more men, Jon was set up to look stupid even though he never got the info that the Eyrie's army was up for joining in. Though I wondered if Sansa was just arguing about needing more time.
Sansa was looking and acting a bit like Dany toward the end. Deliberate or no? Interesting all the same.
shoulda put bb Lyanna in charge. You know girl gets shit done.
Give him a hand? He'll want to cut it off himself. muahahahhah
Maybe Sansa has a plan for Littlefinger too. I'd love to see Sansa feed him to the dogs, but Littlefinger is probably still useful as a plot driver so we'll see.
Well even this whole Meereen nonsense. I like Daario. I like Missandei and Grey Worm. Jorah has his own well-formed character arc and journey. Even though it gets repetitive, I like it when Dany triumphs over gross dudes who say mean shit about women and sex. You know who I don't like? That fucking "waif" who kept…
