I’ve criticised the 2016 Ghostbusters a fair bit, but I do have to say, one of the things that I did love about it was seeing the way little girls latched onto it. As a kid who grew up loving the Ghostbusters in the 1980s, that was nice to see.

I grew up in the 80s, but in Australia, so it was a little different. We just had wave after wave of mutant insect attacks.
What about in 10 years when they move to Seattle and form a grunge band? And one of them will be in a love triangle with Wynona Ryder?
Keifer Sutherland and Bruce Willis will have been planted in the ground before then, no dice.

“Blue!? I wanted purple, godammit!”

You’re forgetting the pre-picture response by Will Smith: “He doesn’t look enough like Will Smith!”
I love the idea of bringing back Nancy Drew for a new generation, and Sophia Lillis is perfect casting, but I still can’t figure out why this is a movie. A film franchise seems like a total non-starter. This should be a series.
Right? How could they have left that out of the history? That was actually my introduction to her character in the first place.

Yes, that was a part of the Claremont X-Men phase that the article doesn’t mention (and led to the bit with her getting a new set of powers, which it does).
Pistol Whipped by Death is a great Motorhead song.
The general consensus is positive, if not glowing. But, yeah, it doesn’t really matter where those people are concerned.
Watching this movie could cure cancer and the pissy fanboys would still be pissy.
