Max Dood recently had an interview with a Killer Instinct dev that went a little more in depth on this attitude towards balance. It’s a bit more nuanced than some commenters seem to be giving it credit for and I’d recommend giving it a listen.

I tried to reply to you, but all I got was LOG IN ERROR

Final Fantasy VI. I’ve had this silly idea to play games made in 1994 for the rest of the year as they’ll be turning 25 this year and so will I. I know these games share the same age as me every year, but I feel 25th anniversaries can be pretty big for games so I wanted to celebrate them. Anyway, I’ve just gotten to…
Picked up Fire Emblem: Three Houses on my way home from a half-day at work, but then my wedding invitations showed up so now I’m doing those instead of playing Fire Emblem.
Eh, there would have been wiser purchases, but it’s fine. I had the chance to cancel the order and even sober me didn’t see fit to do it. I’m pretty pumped.
I finally caved and bought a switch, so I’ll be keeping my wife awake with the glow of my Switch screen for the next several years while I play through Breath of the Wild. Also picked up Mario Maker 2, which is fun even though I’m GARBAGE at these games. I want to be good, so I’m trying you guys.
Unless it is absolutely not in your budget, I highly doubt you will regret your purchase.
Attention anyone with a PS4, Switch, or Xbox One that is looking for something new (old) to play.
I am ADDICTED to Dragon Quest Builder 2 (switch). I never got into Minecraft at all - but this pulls over elements from Stardew Valley and old Harvest moon games (looking at you N64) that I adored. I even love the random bugs and things that don’t work but seemingly should elements of this game. Reminds me of older…
Feeling excited by EVO coming up so my friend and I have been playing a good amount of Smash Ultimate, along with Blaz Blue Cross Tag Battle. The latter has been so much fun for me. Originally picked it up on sale on a whim, but instantly loved it and bought all DLC...
After dipping in to see Screaming Females at a street fest tonight the rest of my weekend is going to be dedicated to Fire Emblem: Three Houses and AC: Odyssey: The Fate of Atlantis: Judgement of Atlantis.
Halo 2. I had a friend reach out this week out of the blue and I have been looking for reasons to play any version of Halo ahead of the Reach release on PC. I love the series, have great memories, and playing Halo with other people makes me a happy camper. Except for the camper part, I don’t camp.
If anyone wants to…
Still trying to decide if I want to buy Fire Emblem or not. Only played the mobile game and enjoyed it, but the waifu stuff made me really uncomfortable.
Well, I drunk bought a Switch last night. Should be here tomorrow. So probably Breath of the Wild and Ultimate Alliance 3. Yikes.
Fire Emblem, for sure. Plans tonight fell through (no decent showtimes available for “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood”) so tonight I’m gonna sink my teeth into that big boy for probably 5-8 hours.
Fire Emblem. Actually doing things in the real world on Saturday (with other human beings, what is this madness), but Fire Emblem at every available opportunity.
