No.
No.
I don’t give a single second to movies like these.
😒 .....ok
I am a teacher and their comment is b.s.
I’m a teacher too, and, uhh....yeah, no to all of that, but ‘grats on getting clearly misguided people (and those who agree with the agenda of exalting murderous, racist thieves as historical heroes) to agree with you. This student’s paper clearly stated that black children aren’t going for the fairytales in 2018.…
As a Southerner, I take offense. It’s always easy to hate on the South, but it’s no worse than areas you can find elsewhere in the States, because as a well-traveled Southerner, I’ve seen/experienced it for myself. And as a black Southerner, I’m here to say that the rest of the U.S. is just as racist.
It’s ridiculous. Is there no “block” function on this stupid Kinja?
I know there are many women (especially where I live, by several accounts) who don’t say no so much as capitulate because they feel they don’t have any other choice (for any number of reasons, including the fear of violence). Was that the case here? I have absolutely no idea. But even so, a rapist knows good and well…
This makes me think of my friend’s recent experience with her mother, except it happened in Japan and her/her mother are South East Asian, which is significant for similar reasons to this issue. Her mother was visiting for a few months and started feeling poorly. She kept going to the doctors but they kept dismissing…
I think that’s what they think. I literally just went to the doctor today and told him flat-out that I’m not trying to get narcotic/opiods. It might have been unnecessary, considering I’m in Japan, but he got his license in the U.S. (and is half-white), so I don’t know what he could have been thinking. I just remember…
Actually, in the comics, at least, their bodies have enhanced strength and agility due to the vibranium. ;)
Why is THIS thing out of the greys but I’m not?? (Yes, I’m still salty.)
I also saw this point made on a YT analysis of the film. That was a nice, subtle touch.
Tnh, it was neither scary nor funny for me; it was mostly irritating because he made so many bad choices. I love horror movies and watch them so often that I’m desensitized to someone being in a tough spot because of stupid choices, so it was a frustrating film for me.
His eyes are too small to me. That’s all I think when I see him.
I remember my father saying that he was never attracted to white women in part because he remembered his best friend being murdered for having an affair with one when they were teens. When her husband found out, she lied and said my dad’s friend raped her, so the husband killed him and got off. That always stayed with…
I remember they had an April Fools ad for such an app. They got me, because I was sitting there thinking it was kind of an interesting idea.
I propose AestheticAttraction, for asexuals, for when you want to meet that person you can Netflix and actually just chill with.
I moved (back) to Japan (lived here some years before); it’s okay, but they can be xenophobic and ignorant (and some racist) here. Us brown and black foreigners don’t tend to be as favorably viewed our white counterparts (and that manifests itself in frustrating ways at times), but at least it’s super safe here, no…
I left the U.S. (again) during the election because I knew Trump was going to win. (Given his progress despite controversy after controversy, it was a foregone conclusion.) But now I’m in the position of being a foreigner again, wanting to return to the U.S. but not wanting to have to deal with the absurdity that is…
