The mitered edges are from the concept. The real world design is a traditional square tailgate joint albeit with larger gaps and poor fit and finish.

Look up a picture of the RC cybertrucks the bed and taillights look to have many compromises.

Sorry about misspeaking about the cost cap but the rest of your comment is straight fan girl hyperbole, have fun with that.

There was no cost cap in effect last year, so not sure what your point is on that.

Also if Hamilton should be DQ’d for a lap one incident surely Verstappen should be DQ’d on multiple occasions for driving people off the track (see Brazil 2021). Also Verstappen “won” Spa 2021 a “race” that had no green flag racing.

Jalopnik can’t even get the user sourced content correct.

Pump the stock is the move and it seems to have worked. Tesla doesn’t have to make the Roadster, Semi, and Cybertruck. They just have to say how awesome they will be and that’s all the general public cares about.

OR the machine to build them. Or the design and engineering finished.

To put it simply Tesla has yet to produce a “second generation” of any of it’s cars. Competition is coming and within the next 3 years most Tesla models will be closer to 10 years old than 5.

Also it’s pretty easy to see nothing is in the pipeline otherwise Musk would have been shouting about it years early like they

not to mention the CT starts at $40k”

Yeah the CT will never be 40k that was a lie when they revealed it in 2019, and with the cheapest Tesla now 47k there is no way a new platform/body style vehicle will be cheaper than what they already make.

the top tier CT starts at $70"

Much more likely to be the CT base price as

I only stop by this site once or twice a week and I just realized that Tracy and Torch are gone. After reading this rant I’m out too. Bookmark deleted.
So long fellow Jalops that actually like driving cars. Done with these writers that hate cars and white knight.

Took less then a minute to see that the 10th gen Civic exterior was designed by two Americans. I’m sure mechanical design is split but it has been decades since Japanese cars were solely designed in Japan.

Toyota is moving the Sequoia production to TX this year.

That’s a pretty clever trick. We live in the southern US so only happens a handful of times a year. I doubt the Civic has that but at least it doesn’t smell like crayons during the long summers.

Cognitive dissonance is the only way to explain the Stans. Taking everything Tesla said 2 years ago about a concept car as gospel.

Also Elon didn’t announce the all wheel steering and 4 motor specs until after the competition - Hummer and Rivian had announced/produced them. So innovative.

Absolutely correct. We have a 2012 Civic that has wipers tucked low into the cowl. Spent 20 minutes digging them out of the ice during a sudden storm last year. Funny thing is that Civic is made in Canada so the should know better. Attached photos to explain, hope they don’t get Kinja’d. Bottom pic is the slab of ice

I love the hood ornament placed on the popup dial gear selector. That won’t hamper the ergonomics at all.

Datsun? Is that a supposed to be bad thing? They made the 240z right?

Is that painters tape on the wiper cowl? Also front bumper appears to have cosmetic issues. No pictures of the interior... Also the car is nearly 20 years old.

No Dice. After one minute of searching I found this, doesn’t have the Brembo package but seems in better shape.

As mentioned in the article this is set to be released in Spring 2023 as a 2024 model. The higher trim level is planed for the fall of 2023.

So not 2 years of battery tech to improve but roughly 14 months.

But did you really set the cruise control at 115? My Nissan 240sx, also a 90's Japanese car, wouldn’t allow the cruise beyond 97 MPH.

Can someone please explain what makes the Frontier based, body-on-frame, rear wheel drive Xterra a crossover?
