I transport my bikes on the roof of my car. The carrier I currently use has a locking and snug-fitting, but plastic strap that holds the frame and the carrier itself is held onto the roof rack rails by Torx screws. Knowing that you will usually go for the lower-hanging fruit and that a bike on top of a car is a pain…
