But that’s punishing the eagles...

I was excused from jury duty once for this very reason. The defendant walked into the courtroom before we heard any details of the case. I took one look at him and thought, “Child molester.” Turns out, that was exactly what he was being tried for.

I saw the picture before I saw the headline and thought “child pornographer, for sure”. Nailed it.

In her parent’s defense (since they were the ones who named her), Raven-Symoné was born in 1985. Mötley Crüe and Löwenbräu were everywhere, tempting people into using diacritics they didn’t understand.

I will never ever get over the fact that she’s got the wrong fucking accent over the last e in her name enough to ever, ever take a single word out of her mouth seriously.

So now we all have to listen to Raven-Symoné talk on a regular basis.

I don’t know what’s sadder. The typo, or people flapping and squawking around the typo like it’s actually in any way important.

Aw that is like, a really basic typo to make. The “d” and the “s” are right next to each other. I do shit like this ALL the time, even after proofreading because sometimes your brain sees the correct thing even when there’s an obvious mistake. I can’t get mad about this.

Very nice... except I have to be that guy and point out that “Sweet Home Alabama” is not part of the Credence Clearwater Revival catalogue.

To be fair, “Born to Run” isn’t a dance song—it’s a riding down the highway at 80+mph song.

John Fogerty would be so fucking offended you think CC&R sang Sweet Home Alabama.

In the second clip, with Springsteen performing, would you mind giving us a “white people dancing" warning? Thank you.

Sheep rides on the baaaack.

This is the best sheep photo ever. What are they watching with such fascination?!?

They have a vampire protagonist, but the St. Germain books by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro are exceptionally well-researched. She always manages to throw in some weird customs for each era.

I loved Katherine by Anya Seton! And I agree 100% about the historical ones. I know it’s not strictly romance, but I’ve been a fan of Philippa Gregory’s books since I was in high school.

Yeah, that’s been my experience as well (hell, my MIL was super impressed because my husband was there for my C-section, while I was the one actually BEING OPERATED ON). It just irritates me, not because I don’t think he’s a good father, but because they’ve never called me a good mother, or even said anything positive

A lot of my husband’s older relatives comment on how wonderful and amazing it is that he is so involved with our kids because their dads were never involved with them. I find myself struggling. Not because I don’t want to give my husband credit for what he does do because he is a great dad and husband, but I don’t

64 percent of college-educated women opted for a so-called neo-traditional arrangement — the man is the primary breadwinner and the woman is the primary caregiver, though they share some of those tasks.”
