this is in also in netflix’s top 10 shows, so I wouldn’t be shocked if it got picked up again there?

Is it possible for Biden to step down and Warren to step up? Am I wishing on unicorn fart?
I want to believe Tara Reade. I really do. I’ve read about it. There are some gaps. The Russian / Putin connection is troubling. However, if you look at these politicians and celebrities that assault women, it’s not usually an isolated incident. I hate saying this, but it’s going to take more women coming out against…
I really want to know how in the hell Tara Reade escaped Obama’s VP vetting process. Yes, this was before #MeToo, but it was after Anita Hill and Bill Clinton. Every candidate, regardless of party, gets investigated on this stuff by its own party first.
Absolutely one of the best theatre documentaries out there. I can't get enough of it.
Please please please tell me you’ve seen the original Pennebaker film.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Pennebaker documentary of the “Company” cast album, you’re missing 98% of the jokes in the Documentary Now parody. If you’re unfamiliar with the musical at all, you’re also missing the other 2%.
Company IS fun - can confirm, played Sarah about 10 years ago. Darling...do you want to stand...there?
The “Co-Op” episode of Documentary Now is my favorite thing.
+ West Side Story, if you want to be clever.
That was Katrina Lenk, who is starring in the now-paused revival of Company (with a female Bobbie instead of the traditional male Bobby). She was DIVINE in The Band’s Visit a few seasons ago.
Into the Woods and Sweeney Todd are the two I know, and they did Merrily We Roll Along at my high school. But I don’t know Company, etc.
And by most accounts, was really really good, too. Despite his voice being incredibly evocative of Mandy Patinkin’s (NOT a bad thing, esp. as MP was the first and definitive Georges/George).
Using this as my opportunity to share one of my favorite documentaries, especially if you are a Sondheim fan like me.
This comment deserves a signal boost.
I’m waiting to see if Sunday opens on time on the West End in June; hoping to go in July. It’s a challenging show and he does a great job of emoting through the syllables without getting hammy.
And high five for costumers! My bestie has been a costumer and stitcher on Broadway for…
The whole thing is worth a watch, whether you’re a theater nerd or a secret theater nerd who knows all the lyrics to Oklahoma but would never sing them in front of you, for your sake (hi!). To be perfectly honest, I’m not even all that familiar with Sondheim, though my favorite episode of Documentary Now is the one…
The first hour was the most amusing, heartbreaking, and tense thing I have watched in ages. As a former theatre teachers, my wife, myself and our 15 y.o. emerging theatre kid were in stitches with the technical difficulties. We have all been there when something goes wrong onstage an there’s nothing you can do but…
I miss Splinter. There’s no site in the list up top to talk about Trump threatening today to sue the ‘Noble’ prize committee for not rescinding their (non-existent) award to journalists who exposed his Kremlin ties. Leave it to Trump to remind us out of the blue that, oh yeh, he’s a traitor when we had almost…
Can’t they just make cardboard cutouts of the graduates and mess with the lighting?
There’s been a tofu shortage at my grocery store since before the pandemic.
