I just adore the whole story behind Wuthering Heights, where two months after Jane Eyre made a huge splash, the writer’s little sister who was just known as a creepy weirdo who went on hours-long solitary walks through the moors put her own book out. No one had any idea what to expect, and what they got was a super

I wish she’d choose a different topic but I’m game to see what she does with it. I’m hoping she takes it in her own direction. As far as grave-f*cking goes, there’s always Mary Shelley. She lost her virginity on her mother’s grave.

I was looking forward to them getting into spoofing today’s musicals - Schmamilton, Schmadestown, Schmicked, The Book of Schmormon, etc...

I am so very, very sad we’re not getting this. I am downright inconschmolable

“My relative seems to believes that if an 8 year old says “I think I am a different gender” then they can walk into some magic clinic the same day they decide that and just get all the surgery they need to transition.”

Hi: I’ll respond to that last paragraph.

He nearly sank All That Jazz by dropping out of the lead part. Roy Scheider was hired two weeks before production started.

People are of course complaining about him not being allowed to do and say whatever he wants, but the reality is that he can do and say whatever he wants, but the people who paid an organization to see a talk that was supposed to be about Jaws also have the right to be pissed and demand their money back.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus remains unchallenged as the Best Dreyfus(s).

This just in: Old white man spouts right wing talking points. Up next: Water found to be wet.

Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes is the lead voice in an animated musical that also has Jemaine Clement, I feel like this should be bigger news!!

I’ve been in a rocky place due to some grief recently and for some reason this episode wrecked me.

That quick flash to Deborah looking in the mirror at her younger self before stepping in to host a fucking SLAMMING show.

I thought of my own mother, grandmothers, sisters, everyone else female-identifying in my life who

Jean Smart was SO good playing Deborah hosting Late Night, when she’s sitting at the desk after the show with the camera shooting her from behind, all I could think was “Jean Smart should host a late night show”. (Is there anything this woman couldn’t do?)

This is the best comedy show on tv right now, and it has been since it debuted, in my opinion. Also, totally with you, I really hope we see a lot more of Lorenza Izzo. She was hysterical in the criminally-underseen “Confess, Fletch.”

First two seasons are solid gold, season 3 is decent enough. I'm not sure what they were doing for 4 but it sucked.

I’ve loved that, and her stoicism. The original lady in the original Shogun was quite good, but Anna Sawai is definitely better.

This entire show she’s done that!  And she definitely gives the best “you need to shut the fuck up” look while barely moving her face that I’ve ever seen.

Loved how much Anna Sawai was able to convey with just her eyes.

I read the book and saw the original miniseries, so it shouldn’t have been surprising, but this episode had me on edge. How can this show be this good?

Did the ninja’s kill the baby? Was too dark to tell.
