So, quick policy question if anyone knows...

Many were increasingly of the opinion that they’d all made a big mistake coming down from the trees in the first place, and some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no-one should ever have left the oceans.

Stupid question:  Would having D.C. becoming part of Virginia or Maryland also be an option?  Or is granting D.C. statehood the best way to do it?

Like, why lie about something so trivial nobody really gives a shit? I mean, yeah, you get made fun of a little bit, for 5 seconds, then everyone moves on, then you come back with “I didn’t say the thing you recorded me saying”? Jesus H. Christ Bananas.

Hollow Knight on Switch.

If we’re going to start breaking up tech companies, why not start with the big ISPs. ATT, Verizon, Comacast, etc. They increasingly control all the access to the internet, as well as much of the content that’s created.  Those two aspects need to be separated.

If it’s on a website it must be true.  Everyone knows you can’t put things on the internet unless it’s super duper true.

Now I really really want to see a completely jacked, roided out chess player with Mark McGwire arms going crazy and flipping the board when the first pawn is lost.

AOC is my Patronus.

Total noob question:  Why are there always two versions of the game?  Red & Blue, Gold & Silver, now Sword & Shield.  Are they two different games?  Are the stories or gameplay different?  Why two?  WHY TWO??

Ok, so, Ivanka’s batshit statement was actually about a universal basic income, not minimum wage, which I was referencing above. Turns out it was in an original draft of AOC’s GND, but it’s not in the one currently being voted on.

Ok, so, dumb question: What happens if McConnell just refuses to bring it to the floor? He’s supposed to, it’s privileged, but, what if he just decides not to?  Like, what happens then?  What’s the recourse, if any, other than Democrats bitching that he’s not following procedure?

When I got a new job, going from $11 an hour to $28 an hour, the first thing I told my new employer was “hey, can you lower me back to $11 an hour? Because, you know, I want to feel like I’m working for what I get.”

Avoiding global catastrophe for only $94 Trillion? That’s a bargain at ten times the price.

“Officer McNeal, we’ve gone over your body cam footage, and we’d like to give you a rundown on your performance. You successfully forced a woman to give you a BJ in exchange for dismissing a ticket, shot four unarmed thugs in the back, and completely beat the shit out of someone on the sidewalk for not having their ID

I’m sure she was protesting with the breast of intentions.

So...childcare is a...socialist takeover...? I don’t get it. Does Tucker’s team even try to reason out these arguments when they’re writing the day’s script? Or do they just take whatever buzzwords are polling well and mash them together? So fucking stupid.

What exactly are they suing the Post over? Defamation? That’s a really high bar to get over. They’d have to prove that the Post knowingly published things that were untrue (not opinions) with malice, meaning they intended to cause reputational harm.

If Google has cracked the streaming problem, that could be a major game changer.  They have my attention.
