Correction: he looks like a sadomasochistic goon who would probably enjoy it a little too much when Batman knocks him out with one punch — oh, wait, that’s the Joker in a nutshell.

In 10-20 years, they’ll be saying the same thing about Jared Leto and the next Joker. Frankly, I think Jared is far closer to the comic version than Ledger ever was.

I think that’s what I like about it.

Exactly. With great power comes great responsibility. At least Peter’s Uncle Ben understood that.

The Assassin’s Creed movie, according to most sources, is not going to be retelling or adapting any of the previous stories of the games. It’s supposedly going to be an all-new story within the existing universe. Most rumors report that Fassbender is playing dual roles, both the modern-day protagonist, and an Assassin

George Lucas? Who’s that?

You’d rather they shoe-horn an existing property with its own storyline into the existing MCU?

Nobody’s forcing you to buy the games, play the games, read the articles, or comment on the articles. Go be butthurt somewhere else.

The best way to study primitive beings in their own habitat is for them to not be aware of your presence. I’m sure that’s basic zoology or something.

With Star Trek’s level of technology, there should be no need for that buggy, because individual human flight would be a cakewalk for a civilization that uses sub-molecular manipulation to make breakfast. One thing they haven’t overcome, however, is the price of Patrick Stewart. They literally threw that dune buggy in

Indeed. Of course, the same could be said for an open-world pirate game, period, before Black Flag came out. Hopefully, Ubisoft realizes that they’re in the position to basically print money here, and capitalizes on it.

Maybe they’ll polish it up and bring it back with their forthcoming pirate series — or maybe that’s just wishful thinking on my part.

Or Jack Nicholson — since Marvel beat them to Anthony Hopkins.

Those are essentially the gripes I had with the games following it. The characters looked plastic, the movement was slow, the gameplay and animations were awkward and stilted, the control mapping had no consistency whatsoever, and there was close to zero effort put into production quality, writing, subtlety, etc. I

Just curious, what did you hate about it?

But.... what’s the point of parkour if you don’t get to see your sweet-ass moves?

Did you play it on the N64? I’m terribly sorry. I played it on PS1 and thoroughly enjoyed it.

MK4 will always be a classic for me. Every MK since has been a disappointment. They sometimes managed to be cheesy fun, but mostly they were disappointments. It’s a shame that they so wholeheartedly embraced the self-parody angle. It would be nice if they got their animation game together, too.

Still my favorite Mortal Kombat. The series hasn’t been the same since. Maybe I just outgrew it. Shame it didn’t grow up too.

Rogue already brought a lot of the Gangs of New York vibe. I was hoping for more weird, Tim Burton/Sweeney Todd eccentricity for this one, we’ll see if that happens.
