N++ gets a ball?

That’s awesome news, and it looks like they are really trying to stick to the original style despite being 3d, unlike that Final Fantasy 6 remake. I’ll be picking this up on steam for sure.

The official explanation amounts to “All overwatch matches are non-canon”. So the real overwatch story is what we get with the cutscenes and lore. Kinda like how Mario’s mortal enemies become his friends on the weekends.

Again, I’m talking about 4k display resolutions. The extra res you get from getting close to a very high resolution texture in 4k IS LOST when you sit more than several feet from the display because the human eye can’t resolve the difference. Doesn’t matter if it’s in 8k.. Look it up, it’s crazy.

I didn’t say anything about the native texture sizes, I am talking about a game designed for use with 4K display resolution. You’re trying to be a smart ass but I was modding games while you were still in diapers lol.. Wow I actually get to say that now.

Stiff animation aside, the question is how many of the assets are from the previous generation.

I was under the impression that the switch was an x86 device.

Pretty sure it’s emulating whatever kind of risc processor that the original roms wanted. Might even be a physical chip if it runs the roms perfectly.

One would hope that playing it in HD instead of 4K would be an option upfront before downloading... On both the HDD and GFX card side of things. I’m glad that 4k will push the technology forward but right now it’s just an unnecessary thorn in my side. I’m not sitting 3 feet from my tv, so it’s not like I’d benefit.

Dude.. KQ4 The Perils of Rosella. When night hits and you end up in front of the haunted house or the graveyard? I was maybe 8 or 9 when I played it and I can still remember my dread. The idea of a day/night cycle alone blew my mind.

The first game that always comes to mind that freaked me out was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. After you get through the catacombs, you have to open a sarcophagus, and you are treated to a full screen image of the skeleton inside while (on adlib) an incredibly eerie and jarring rising pitch plays. It’s the same…

You’re assuming the image is a giant sprite, but you could load straight bitmap-style data... It would just take up the entire cart and wouldn’t move nearly as fast.

This is all very positive, but something weird can happen when all the minorities start to group up and develop their own agendas. People laugh when they talk about having a ‘mens’ days, or they are terrified when you talk about a white grouping, but things really need to be equal in all ways to make this work.

And who buys loose P.E. Uniforms..? I suspect he was selling them to a very specific market, which is the only way the money makes any sense.

I cut my teeth on D1, but D2 is a better remaster choice.

Gaming roots were about getting AWAY from people like that. Ego boosting and violent tendencies are not a good mix.
