I was 5 in ‘86 when I first started to play this game on our Apple ][ clone (it was called a Pineapple). I’m pleased that the classic mode nailed most of the sounds right.

In the summer of 2003, after watching this little known set of skits called Red Vs. Blue, I rallied friends and family and got 3 xboxs together, with 3 TVs. 6 players on two xboxs, the camera on the third. We played a few matches but it quickly descended into a similar situation as the video above, and we made 3 or 4

Your quiz thinks people who don’t like your music want boring sex mods.

No-one going to point out that there are no on-screen deaths in the trailer? And no man-on-man violence? One shot where the wanderer shoots at a supermutant is not exactly “repugnant and morally indefensible images”.

Asking the important questions. I doubt they wanted it back after his tongue drilled a hole in it.

I didn’t recognize that animation because it’s running at the proper framerate. My old 286 couldn’t pan the shot like that without practically blowing smoke... Even with the turbo button on.

Yea, welcome to Canada. Most of Kotaku’s deals don’t apply to us, especially anything on amazon.

THERE ARE DOZENS OF US. DOZENS!

I can tell you Maddy, had you been of game playing age (assuming you were alive) during Metroid II’s release, you might feel very differently. Not merely because of the nostalgia, but because in 1991 you would be hard pressed to find a more atmospheric game. The music wasn’t basic, it was bazaar and experimental.

This is pretty standard fair for Thrustmaster. I rememeber oogling HOTAS systems that cost around 600.... But 800 for a wheel. Niche market is niche.

*staring at rift* So I don’t get skyrim, fallout 4, or doom. Why the fuck did I buy this thing? Oh right, I wasn’t trying to plan for internal political bullshit.

Yet another beautiful figure ruined by a lack of convincing pose. The photos did it right but the ones on display have a really janky pose that highlights their toy-ness.

You like your picture books? :p

The only game I MUST have. Final Fantasy and Chronotrigger have both had DS/Advanced ports, but Secret of Mana (and Illusion of Gaia) have been left to wither in the minds of 30-somethings.

I’m both happy to see this mold getting another shot, as well as loving the colors over the original, and also saddened, as this often times will tank the value of the original release.

I think that’s why he said “Dress”. The original 12" line was closer to a barbie, in that it had cloth clothes and accessories for days.

This doesn’t make any kind of sense. Why not stream the audio from the switch wirelessly to your phone instead? All the hardware is there.

Not until they have added at least the SNES liberary... And even then, I wouldn’t call it a netflix of classic games unless the also include the top 3rd party games like FF3 or Secret of Mana... Or any other Squaresoft and Enix game for that matter.

Damn that’s crisp.

Hehe, your videos have the sound of a home in summer with no AC. I remember enduring overwhelming heat so that I could continue playing.
