I wouldn’t say DV is something that only happens to people in poverty. However being poor does limit your options when in an abusive relationship.

As a former Familial Violence Prevention Specialist, or DVS advising DCYF was a stressful can of worms. The push towards reunification at nearly any cost is scary. The entrenchment of poverty is damn near impossible to overcome.
