Male-on-male harassment like this has a long history in predominantly male groups, whether it’s the police, military, fraternities, or football teams.
My issue is that I never saw him really giving back to democratic party, but being more than happy to use them when it suited him. It struck me as kind of entitled. I know he feels he wasn’t treated fairly, but that kind of goes both ways.
and more about the lingering feelings around Clinton, her policies, and the Democratic party.
Yeah I think I read a WashPo analysis of her book, and they said it didn’t really go after Sanders at all, and I was surprised because it was pretty clear from that interview that she is all the way over him. I supported Sanders but by the end of it all was pretty annoyed with his unwillingness to concede, since any…
I know, right? “Damn, this book is really good. But they are going to kick me out of the Bernie Kombucha Co-Op if I say it out overtly.”
Lol at the saltiness of this article. Could anyone say less with more words?
One day, I am SURE we’re going to find out that Russia actually hacked into voting machines and changed votes. They did it in key states because they’re smart, and left the popular vote alone to make it look more plausible, not realizing what a giant baby Trump would be about it. We’re finding out more and more about…
I finished it earlier today and I would encourage everyone to read it. I found it to be a refreshingly blunt account of HER experiences. You may like what she has to say, you may not, but I thought the book was very well done. She defends herself and her decisions when she feels that she should and admits fault in…
I agree, but I also agree with her analysis of Bernie Sander’s role. I kind of wish both of them would step back at this point. I appreciated Sanders before this election for his progressive voice in the Senate, but now I just see him as an opportunist. If I were her, I’d have a lot of resentment there too.
Every time I tell myself “you’re not going to read the comments on Hillary Clinton posts or interviews. It will just piss you off.” Yet, here I am.
Given that Hillary Clinton has had the temerity to be an intelligent, ambitious woman who served as a senator and as Secretary of State, the animosity her book was generated indicates that sone people have a big problem with uppity women.
Reasons not to shut about 2o16 election:
It hasn’t even been a year. She’s allowed to reflect publicly, it was a pretty major event that continues to shape this country’s future, and God knows Trump hasn’t stopped talking about it.
To me, “Hillary Clinton” is President Hillary Rodham Clinton, ahem! (R.e. HillaryBeatTrump.org!!!) That said, this book is fucking funny. She a brilliant writer. “Defeat” is a horrible essay subject, especially for a feminist. I’m fucking proud of her.
So in other words, you don’t want to admit it’s good. Off to buy a copy!
It is really good. Which might emerge from this article if Jezebel had gotten someone other than one of their eighteen Sanders cult members to review it.
Some dudes think Hillary Clinton is bitter. Sorry, I just rolled my eyes so hard I saw my brain.
If anyone would like to hear an exceptional interview with her from yesterday, I highly recommend this episode of Pod Save America. It provided a lot of really nuanced information that I hadn’t considered before and I felt like Hillary dropped her guard quite a bit in her answers.
Absolutely LOVE this woman! Full disclosure, I did support Bernie in the primary. But I was 100% behind her in the general and nothing made me angrier than all of the “Bernie Bros” that sat on the sideline while we elected Cheeto Hitler!
