Would anybody have even heard of the Beatles if they weren’t four cute floppy-haired English guys essentially setting the template for white boy bands? I’m guessing Beatlemania had more effect on their level of fame than their music, at least at first.

She’s fantastic and I’d never seen her in anything before this. I think this review is underselling the movie a bit. It’s far and away the best teen rom-com I’ve seen on Netflix. I mean, it won Best Narrative Film at TriBeCa, which is something I wouldn’t expect out of a typical Netflix YA take.
