This sums it up extremely well.  I understand the notion of straying away from source material, but replacing it with whoopsie doodles waters everything down. 

Maybe next season will have better pacing, less time spent on graphic child birth scenes, and less shoe-horning in a “prophecy” that makes little sense to the story.  At this point, it barely holds a candle to GoT season 1.
