The problem I have with Tesla is that it comes with this assumption that traditional automakers are dumb and don’t know what they are doing. In the past it has often felt that Tesla is given a pass on many of the qualifications other automakers are burdened with because they are new and innovative.
Oh he’s one of those guys... gotcha
Call me old school but when I was in the market for a new submarine I was very insistent on soft touch points. This carbon fiber everything is so uncomfortable.
I thought the Chevy Spark was made at GM’s Lake Orion facility along with the Sonic, but maybe Korean design or something.
I mean I hear you that this is a flaw but really on the scale of fucked the subway is, the T being figured out is hardly something to worry about. That is like 2060's problem to work out.
I think this highlights a fundamental flaw of unions. While initial intentions may be good they are often wrought with corruption on both the union and corresponding corporate sides.
So they are going to sell foreign knockoffs of US vehicles, back in the US.
This comment doesn’t make a terrible amount of sense to me. Where is GM claiming not to include this in their cost model? As a former employee they most absolutely do take into account capital costs when looking at the cost of cars.
When you combine union rules and logic with mis-management you get the MTA.
Why is there an indoor/outdoor switch on the radio? What miraculous feature is this? Can you force all those in the near vicinity of you to enjoy your Pao jams with you just with the flip of a switch?
How is the infotainment? I noticed these things are a lot of touch screen and not a lot of button. Is it easy to use while driving?
Nice looking accord.
The ability to reduce ergonomics concerns is a bigger deal than some may think. It can be hard to optimize job stations on an assembly line that are at awkward heights because they force the worker beyond prescribed ergonomics limits (whether they be OSHA guidelines or even just internal corporate ones). This…
Good
The point of my original post is that politics is petty. You have ranted and raved about whose fault this and that is ... and at the end of it.... its still petty.
I don’t disagree with you. My point is that we are spending more time arguing the name of the legislation than fixing it. You can call it fixing or sabotaging or overhauling or updating or destroying, it doesn’t matter. Both parties are acknowledging the ACA isn’t working in its current form and needs changed but…
The fact that the only way to pass legislation is with a majority is even more concerning to me.
Creating legislation that you like and then blaming the other party for not liking it is not creating effective bipartisan legislation.
Neither side has produced effective bipartisan legislation. That is why neither side has outlined an effective plan. The blame both sides narrative isn’t comfortable, if anything it is very uncomfortable for me to watch the country I live in struggle politically. Not sure why this distresses you so much.
