The photos use perspective to make it look bigger than it really is. However, these are very large crabs and are apparently *delicious.*

First picture on a computer for me was on a cutting edge Mac Quadra 660AV. I hooked up a VHS camera, and took a still of me holding a metal bar. Then I used the paint program to trace over the bar with a blue glowing line, and it looked like I was holding a lightsaber. It was cutting edge shit, impressed the hell out

I wouldn't say mosquitoes are known as night owls at all. Dusk or dawn owls is more like it. My primary nemesis and subject of study is the Anopheles gambiae complex, which contains several strains that are active biters during the night and day.

Yes, but the discussion here is not large v. small (addressing primarily domestic flights). It is large v. *fast* long term, which is a discussion centered around largely international flights. And I'm also talking about future development, not what is available now.

They've already done all the math, and have publicly acknowledged that it is better for them to make larger planes vs. fast planes.

Looks inspired.

I remember reading an article a very long time ago about a Florida Park Ranger who had lost all sensitivity to mozzie bites. The article also mentioned some stories of people lost in the park who had drowned in their attempt to get away from the mozzies by immersing themselves in water and trying to breath through

Flood insurance has to be sky high.

Degaussing is no longer an option?

"Even objects produced by our own culture are interesting-like my iPhone."

This is even worse than flash.

The petapixel site has a vid of the kid in red going out there. It almost make me puke. Seriously.

Yeah, you didn't understand my comment. The whole "and saying it can be different in the *future.*" seems to have gone way the fuck over your head.

Blhhh; The majority of ecologists and ecological economists already state we're at ~1.5 K.
