Niantic included some level of customization so it’s safe to assume they thought that would be of interest to their target audience. Why is it then so difficult to understand that the customization options would be a topic of interest?
It’s not about having an avatar who looks exactly like you (although that’s not an unreasonable desire in a game that was marketed as a chance to “be a Pokemon trainer in real life”). It’s about not reinforcing the prevailing trope in video games that people only come in a couple shades and all of those are light.
OK so why not make the four default skin tones umber, copper, sepia, and caramel? No one with lighter skin would complain because it’s irrelevant, right?
A person who self-describes as “edgy” while really just being boring, predictable, and usually juvenile.
I think part of the problem is that “diversity” is seen as the end goal rather than part of an overarching strategy. It’s sort of like saying you should eat vegetables because a certain percentage of all food is vegetables rather than because that will have a positive impact on your health. We should emphasize…

Baratheon is the house of my heart (I mean, “Ours is the Fury”? C’mon) so I say this with love: Renly would have been an awful king.
My only concern with Olenna is that she isn’t interested in the betterment of the whole kingdom, and I want that in a leader. Varys and Tyrion would both make excellent advisors but neither are really front-of-house people.
Thanks, I will!
The small council positions aren’t for life though...
I’m with you. None of the listed candidates should be in control of the Seven Kingdoms.
Badass-factor aside, she’s a poor leader and likely to lose her mind like her dad.
Jon is handsome and a kickass fighter. He also would suck at being a savvy politician and would be “hur, dur, must be noble.”
