Well this sounds just fucking horrid. Perpetuating terrible myths about both intimate partner violence and mental illness. That’s fucking abysmal.

You make may excellent points and I can’t help but think that this is exactly made for “a faction of the internet who will lap up anything that depicts women as secret connivers reporting false crimes as revenge against their totally innocent boyfriends” from the description of the story.  

Some simple research would have revealed that the victim having a mental illness doesn’t absolve you from criminal charges, for one.

In one ending, your client is found innocent the moment the evidence of his accuser’s bipolar disorder is brought to light even though her act of violence isn’t brought up as testimony, erroneously conflating mental illness with violence.

It seems to me that there’s a need to point out all the ways that our government money goes to people and endeavors that help people keep working, and help businesses be successful in indirect ways.
