Nah, Will will care. Not to the extent of getting huffy about it or actually trying to get the ban lifted or making a ruckus or whatever, but he’ll still feel a pang of hurt if he ever wins another Oscar and can’t pick it up himself.

His entire career has been an exceptionally precise and carefully-tended exercise in brand management to make it to a Best Actor win. Yeah, I think it’s probably devastating.
