I don’t think you quite appreciate how much evangelicals like Washington believe Satan literally plays a role in people’s lives. He was talking to TD Jakes, which is the giveaway. There was no metaphorical intent in what he said.
Maybe. He’s still talking about a literal evil supernatural being who meddles in the affairs of humans. Hence why it’s fine to skewer this with snark. In my opinion, it should be encouraged.
Maybe not but Satan...you now the catty, gossipy motherfuker
It’s not about a literal red guy with horns and a pointy tail. It’s about blaming something outside oneself. It’s about shirking responsibility. Though from what I’m reading here Denzel might actually believe it’s a little red guy with horns and a pointy tail.

But he could still (in theory) be nominated for/win for future performances, he can still attend future Oscar shows (although he might…
I’m still in awe at how insane everyone went about this.
Do they really need a life coach at this point? I think they’ve pretty much made it.
Eat the rich.
All jokes aside, it’s sure starting to seem like Miller needs some mental health assistance. I hope they get it.
IMO, pretty cringe to still think it is controversial to say “hitting a comedian in the face for making jokes is bad.”
X amount for all Black folks, X+Y amount for Black folks who are descendants of slaves. Done.
